I had my first appointment yesterday and he wanted me back to collect more blood on a 12 hour fast. So far, same routine as the last 3 doctors, I really hope these air force guys have it together better than the others. He seemed really interested in finding out which exact gland was "broken" and why it was messing with my peroids and such, so far no period since 20-March-01. He reassured us that Keesler Medical was one of the major medical systems, I can only continue to hope and pray he gets it right. But, enuff about my medical junk. Today, we did billing for myweb, and I wrote Mom, Elden, Grandmother, Kathleen, and Parth "snail mail" letters. I was also able to pick up some white gloves for Donna's Victorian table. She is going to tea die them, place lace on them, paint a rose on it and then use it as napkin and silverware holder (how amazing) I still cannot wait! This Friday and Saturday, I will be hosting my first Yard Sale, I am so stressed! I have rounded up 3 of the neighbors for a FOUR family sale. Should prove to be interesting to say the least! I worked on tagging all our junk but still have the clothes to go. :( yuck :( tomorrow I will be putting up the flyers and staking in the signs. I took more pictures too, so I should get a good story line out of it.. ... 15/Oct/01 The Garage Sale was a HUGE success! I had a goal of $100, and made over $150!! We had more people on Friday than Saturday, how very odd! Over all, the families did very well, and we are planning another for the first week in November. Hmm.. what else? Misty came here for a few days, we had fun making meals together, enjoying wine, and basicly 'hanging out' As ususal the visit was too short! I just got off the phone with Dad, he is doing well, just tired of the stresses of Houston, ohh how I can relate! We talked about the Elden situation, and how much stress he (elden) is under at the moment, again.. I can relate. I have some tenative plans with Dad on this mini vacation over to Houston. It is almost 2 in the morning, and I am almost packed!! I am soooo excited. We got a gift for Jeff, I know he is going to enjoy it!! (thanks Wally for the inspiration!) Wagner is washed and ready! We have all the piles ready to go too! We are picking up David's grandfather at 10 in the morning so he can come with us to Houston. We are planning to have dinner with MaMa when we get to Houston. I hope we can make it there on time (fingers crossed) ... 17/Oct/01 We made it to Houston, and on time!! Mama had a wonderful dinner made for us, and we were able to just come in and relax! We are now staying with Wally and Jeff in La Porte! David is currently working on tech calls from here and working on some of his server stuff. We dropped Cecil (david's grandfather) over at Mama's last night after she had dinner made for us! She continues to out do herself. James (david's other grandfather) is in the hospital for something like potassium overdose. We should be going over there to see him later this afternoon. We are thinking we will be staying with Donna and CJ Thursday and prolly Friday night. I am excited! We will be visiting Luann and Kayla on Friday as well, and YES! I remembered pictures from Germany, Wedding, and Taylor's visit! Anyways, I am going to get showered and ready for the day! I'll try to keep this updated! I went to see Donna and help with the last minute details for her beautful table. While I was there, Jeff colasped in the grocery store. He ended up in the hospital, and many tests run. We will see what comes from this. ... 19/Oct/01 Yesterday, the Victorian Wedding Table was the hit of the party. There was 52 tables, and I know almost everyone came by to see the table. Donna totally out did herself. The table was beautiful with a wedding cake that was made out of 3 hat boxes that were stacked and seperated. She wrapped the boxes in off-white fabric and then added drooping lace to the edges which totally looked like icing. CJ bought the cake topper, which was a cute little girl playing dressup with her mom's oversized wedding dress. It even had the mauve color in it! very cute. The place setting was a soft ivory dogwood and she pulled the dogwood up into the cake by using a cake seperator and placing silk ones in the hole. LaDonia (Donna's daughter) dressed up in a friends wedding dress and we found a perfect bouquet for her to hold. The whole theme worked out sooooo well. I could rant and rave for another 2 paragraphs. But, I won't in hopes that I will get some pictures scanned in. (keep your fingers crossed) Papa (Cecil) David, Wagner and I went to see Luann and Kayla tonight. Kayla made Mama's lasagna and salad! It was ohhhhhsoooooyuummmyy.. Kayla's boyfriend Jon was there too, he is turning into a nice young man. I was really impressed with his character and intelligence. We looked at pictures, watched the wedding video and basicly caught back up. Poor Papa fell asleep in the chair, and so we cut it short and made promises to see each other soon. Tomorrow we plan to go see Bek Bek and Jerry and their little angel. I am so excited about that too. Beka says that Kristen is growing oh so big, and oh so smart. I wonder where she gets that from :) Click here to read about Kristen! Saturday, we drove over to Bek bek's and just got to see Jerry before he left for work. Kristen was in her prime and was just a good little happy baby. We went out to dinner at this great Italian place. Our next stop was over to Donna and CJ's. It was late when we got there. Therefore we did not get to spend much time withthem that night. The next morning we had a HUGE breakfast and after a few calls from Cecil, we left to go pick him up in order to come back to MS. About half way home, I got car sick, and asked if we could stop and get a room. We stayed at Motel 6, in Baton Rouge and I was not empressed at all. So, at 1130 we left from Baton Rouge to get home, at 2 we dropped Papa off. We spent the evening getting billing done, and basically getting caught up. ... 22/Oct/01 What a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been the most exhausting fun vacation. Tried to call dad. We have made tenative plans to go to Louisiana for a Benny Hinn Conference. Bek bek will be going and bringing little pumpkin with her :) I cannot wait. ... 5/Nov/01 Ok, I think I have everything ready for our trip to LA. I have confirmed the reservations for us and for Wagner :) I have packed our clothes, and all that is left is to throw everything into the car tomorrow at 7AM. ... Tues, 6/Nov/01 Well, we got a late start, we were supposed to leave at 7 this morning. We didn't get up til 720. That would be due to us staying up til after 2 making sure everything was taken care of. It turned out okay. The drive was nice. We were able to leave Wagner at the animal hospital quite early and then come back and see him before we went back to the Air Force Base. The Visiting Families Quarters was SOOO nice. They had a baby play pin, high chair, iron, ironing board, full kitchen including pots and pans, and silverware! We loved it. Dad and Bekbek left about 7.
